uwishunu® Sponsors City's First Radical Jewish Music Festival With John Zorn
Visitors To Philly Encouraged To Make It A Night Or Two During The Progressive Four-day Event
Philly’s insider blog, uwishunu.com, is sponsoring the city’s first Radical Jewish Music Festival, spanning four days March 1-4, and including five different concerts. An initiative of the Ars Nova Workshop 2008 Concert Series, the festival features two performances by celebrated composer and saxophonist John Zorn, a major player in the experimental music scene since the 1970s. The series will also present concerts by renowned guitarist Jon Madof, Israeli-born singer Ayelet Rose Gottlieb and local trombonist Dan Blacksberg.
Providing under-the-radar Philly finds on eating, drinking, music, culture and more, uwishunu.com, the centerpiece of a tourism program created by the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) and funded by the City of Philadelphia, will post observations about the concert series on the blog. In addition, a uwishunu® sponsorship will make it possible for the Radical Jewish Music Festival to reach a larger local audience and introduce musicians who frequent stages in New York and Europe.
