25 Gifts Under $25, 25 Philadelphia Experiences, 25 Discounts And An Exclusive Contest On gophila.com
Go To gophila.com/holidays For More Fun This Holiday Season
Looking for a one-stop shop for holiday gifts and travel plans? On November 3, 2008, the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) launched a microsite, gophila.com/holidays, featuring themed holiday itineraries, a 25-item gift guide with nothing over $25, coupons, a contest, hotel packages that include free parking and more.
25 Under $25 Gift Guide And Contest:
Philadelphia boutiques have long been popular destinations for holiday shoppers looking to find unique items for the hard-to-buy-for people on their list. The gophila.com/holidays gift guide includes 25 great gift ideas under $25 in five categories: fashion, food, home design, kids and beauty. One lucky person will win all 25 gifts and a two-night trip to Philadelphia. The exclusive contest starts November 3.
Discounts Galore:
Value-loving shoppers can check out gophila.com/holidays every day for a new discount at Philadelphia shops and boutiques. The site features one valuable offer per day for one of 25 stores highlighted in the online gift guide. For example, Hello World, Absolute POP!, Town Home and Foster’s Homeware will all post coupons for 10% off purchases.
25 Fun Experiences Under $25:
Some gifts don’t come with a bow on top. A couple Philadelphia favorites include daintily sipping tea at the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia and twirling on the ice against the backdrop of the city at the Blue Cross RiverRink. Complete with thousands of lights, strolling carolers, concerts and ice skating performances, the longtime favorite A Longwood Gardens Christmas also makes the list of the 25 fun experiences under $25, all of which are featured on the interactive map on gophila.com/holidays.
Gifts Of Love, Time With Family And Shopping Sprees:
To make the most of their trips to Philadelphia, visitors can log onto gophila.com/holidays and follow one of three themed itineraries. The romantic excursion suggests intimate activities like a carriage ride through Society Hill, brunch at the Swann Lounge and a stroll through beautiful Longwood Gardens. For those bringing the kids along, the family-friendly itinerary describes some of the best in seasonal Philly fun, such as the 46-year-old Enchanted Colonial Village at the new Please Touch Museum® and Macy’s classic Holiday Light Show, a dazzling light spectacle narrated by Julie Andrews. And the shopping itinerary guides travelers through the best in Philadelphia shopping, including Old City, Manayunk, University City, Rittenhouse Row and the King of Prussia Mall, along with a couple cultural stops at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and the Academy of Music.
Two-Night Hotel Package:
People can give the gift of time to their friends and family this year. Instead of a wrapped present under the tree, loved ones can spend time together in Philadelphia. A favorite all year long, the Philly Overnight® Hotel Package is the perfect hotel option for this special season. The two-night package is available at more than 30 hotels throughout the Philadelphia region, and the Macy’s Savings Pass, the free hotel parking—valued up to $75—and the Philly’s More Fun™ teddy bear round out this unbeatable value. Book online at gophila.com/holidays.
The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) makes Philadelphia and The Countryside® a premier destination through marketing and image building that increases business and promotes the region’s vitality.
