St. Peter’s Episcopal Church

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in the Society Hill section of Philadelphia has been in continuous use since its first service in 1761. Among its famous worshippers are George and Martha Washington, who sat in pew 41, as well as painter Charles Wilson Peale, who is buried in the churchyard.
