Philadelphia Zoo
Just two miles from Center City Philadelphia, a giraffe roams the African Plains at the 42-acre Philadelphia Zoo, the nation’s oldest zoo. Founded in 1874, the zoo retains some of its original Victorian garden style and is home to more than 1,300 animals, many of which are rare or endangered species.
